The main objective behind the establishment of Bhojay Sarvodaya Trust was to provide as many health facilities as possible to the 400 villages of West Kutch, where such facilities were completely lacking. The village was at the periphery of the Trust’s activities, while the deprived communities of the rural society were kept at the center.

In December 1998, the Trust took its first step forward by starting an OPD clinic equipped with X-ray services, a laboratory, a vaccination center, and weekly clinics conducted by visiting doctors to provide expert services from various fields. Dental, Ophthalmology, Gynecology, and General Surgery specialists served in the weekly clinic. Operation theater and ward facilities were later added so that specialist doctors could perform necessary surgeries.
